LP - I spent years noticing them after the fact, an "I could've had a V8" moment. For me, the turning point was paying attention to days where I was obsessed with the idea of getting short, for instance, and in hindsight seeing those would have been perfect days for a long trade. Now anytime (well, most of the time) that I'm waiting for the open after a strong setup in one direction, if there's a gap, I watch for a reversal trade in the other direction. Sometimes I catch a good trade, sometimes I get my ass handed back to me!

george - thanks for the visit, and the three great rules! If you have a site, just put a URL to those charts in the comments without the and I'll change them to a link. Otherwise, feel free to email them to me and I'll post them.

i have three things taped to my screen.1 '' you can make money or you can make excuses but you cant' do both.''2 ''gaps lead to trend days''3 never trade against a 3 little indians'' if you have a way i could send you charts, i can show you why in a predefined manner traders of my ilk were looking to buy the morning lows and were extra geeked that the open was on a gap.

Will,

I love these setups and have had some amazing returns from them but I could never trade them properly or with any consistency. Thanks for the tips, I will keep an eye on these types of setups.
